Leaders of the four Global Ignatian Advocacy Networks are gathering in Rome this week to reflect on the progress of the networks and their future role.
It is a rare opportunity for the leaders of the Justice in Mining, Ecology, Education and Migration Networks – the four Global Ignatian Advocacy Networks – to meet face to face and share challenges and successes experienced since the networks were formed around half a decade ago.
Social Apostolate Coordinators of each of the Jesuit Conferences are also in Rome and began their meeting one day earlier with an update of social ministries from each Conference.
GIAN leaders and coordinators of the network gathering have put significant effort into preparing for discussions, including circulating a survey about each network, drawing up SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analyses, and reflecting on their network vision.
The survey focused on activity of the GIAN-Networks to date, and how together the leaders can work towards strengthening their organisational structure in the Conferences.
Each Leader will deliver a brief presentation about their network during the course of the meeting.
